We are a charitable organisation, so we need a number of fund-raising activities to pay the bills, maintain group funds and equitment. We have recently paid close to £3000 to repair our scout hut thanks to fundraising throughout 2010:
We have held various fundraising events, from sponsored walks to bag packs, there are lots of ways to help. We recently held two bag packs at a local supermarket which raised over £1100 and we will be running similar events in the future.
For those of you who use the internet to shop, search for insurance and energy suppliers etc, you can use easyfundraising.org.uk which will let the retailers you use make a donation, often a percentage of what you spend. As of September 2011, we have raised over £150 from easyfundraising's website.
