Chilly Monkeys 2019

In February, Chilly Monkeys Camp was held at Selby Wood, Morpeth.

The camp was for Sixers and Seconders. The weather was a bit ‘chilly’ at night but for the hike we saw a bit of sunshine. On the hike we saw a plane take off circle and land again over and over. This was a highlight for the cubs as most of them found this fascinating because it was so close. Later on the cubs made some Cowboy Stew for their tea. There was some curry available as an alternative option.

After tea the Cubs all had some ‘chill’ time playing board games etc. The Young Leaders then arranged and led some wide games such as manhunt and camoflague. Before bed we all had a campfire joined by the Scouts who were camping over as part of their expedition.
